Family Stories: Candid Photography in Delhi NCR
I don't ask you to say 'cheese' or stand still. I just look for the real laughs, the messy hugs, and the quiet, in-between moments that actually show your family bond.
A candid moment between a father and son on a rainy day. The father gestures while holding an umbrella, showing a simple, everyday interaction that is full of narrative.
A close-up portrait of a father holding his son securely under an umbrella. This image captures the protective and loving bond in a natural, unposed family portrait.
A mother and child participating in a Dhunuchi Naach ceremony during Durga Puja. This is a great example of event photography, capturing cultural traditions and family moments together.
A different angle of the family at the Durga Puja festival, showing the mother guiding her child. These photos document shared experiences and the passing down of traditions.
About this collection
If you are worried about kids needing to sit perfectly or wearing matching outfits, you can relax. My family sessions are built around movement and play. Whether we are hanging out at a park in Delhi or capturing the chaos of a local festival, I follow the action, not a pose list. You get to be yourselves, and I get the shots that actually feel like your home.
For me, family photography is all about the 'choti choti baatein', or the small things. You know, the way a father holds an umbrella over his son in the rain, or how a mother guides her child during a pujo ritual. These aren't moments you can force, and that is why I don't do traditional, stiff portrait sessions.
My approach is documentary-style. I want to photograph the unposed hugs, the shared laughter, and the quiet connections that define your family. We pick a location where you feel comfortable, maybe your home, a local park in Gurgaon, or even during a festival like Durga Puja, and we just let the day unfold. There is no pressure to look perfect. My goal is to capture your family as you really are, not a filtered version of you.
Since I shoot mostly with natural light and focus on candid interactions, the best photos usually happen when you stop worrying about the camera and start engaging with each other. We will spend about 2 to 3 hours together, which gives everyone plenty of time to get comfortable. If you want real, honest photos that tell your specific family story without any staged drama, let's connect.
