Navratri Devi Makeup Artistry & Traditional Styling
Makeup is my devotion. Every year, I have the honor of styling the Devi for Navratri, blending traditional artistry with the professional techniques I teach at my academy.
Day 1: Shailaputri. The Navratri journey begins. Here, I am applying the final touches and seeking blessings before the festival starts.
Day 2: Brahmacharini. Adorning the Devi with rudraksha and white flowers, I create a look of serene discipline and devotion.
Day 3: Chandraghanta. Creating the look for the goddess of courage and serenity, focusing on a peaceful yet powerful expression.
Day 4: Kushmanda. The cosmic creator, radiating light and energy. The makeup is designed to give a divine, glowing effect.
Day 5: Skandamata. A motherly and compassionate form. The makeup is soft and nurturing, reflecting her divine nature.
Day 6: Katyayani. The goddess of courage. The makeup is strong and defined, with bold eyes that symbolize her power to destroy negativity.
About My Art & Devotion: Navratri Series
I use the exact same HD foundation mixing and color correction techniques on the Devi that I teach in my Advanced Bridal course. Whether it is the precise application of the crescent bindi or the sweat-proof basing required for long festive days, these are skills you will master in my Kharghar studio.
From Devotion to Skill
My Navratri series is more than just festival makeup; it is my annual opportunity to refine my craft and demonstrate the possibilities of professional artistry. When I adorn the Devi, I am not just applying makeup; I am balancing cultural aesthetics like the royal Peshwai style with modern, durable makeup techniques.
What You Can Learn
The skills you see in these images—flawless base work, intricate eye detailing, and traditional accessory placement—are part of the curriculum at MK’s Academy. In our Advanced Bridal and Creative courses, we break down these looks so you can replicate them for your clients.
- Base Perfection: Learn to mix textures for longevity, exactly like the makeup I apply for these high-profile festival idols.
- Cultural Artistry: Master the 'Peshwai' look, complete with traditional draping, crescent bindis, and the specific eye-makeup styles required for Indian traditional attire.
- Hand-on Mentorship: We do not believe in theory alone. Just as I guide my team through these Navratri looks, I will stand by you in the academy, helping you perfect your strokes on live models until you are confident enough to call yourself an artist.
Whether you want to specialize in high-end bridal work or wish to start your own makeup business, this is where you begin.
