The Art of Mehendi: My Process and Stain Results
Mehendi is my first love. I create natural henna art by hand, focusing on fine lines and deep, long-lasting stains. Here is a look at my process, from the first swirl to the final color.
The final stain is the true reward of beautiful mehendi. I use only natural henna paste, which, with proper care, results in this deep, rich, reddish-brown color. This picture shows the gorgeous stain complemented by traditional green bangles.

About The Art of Mehendi: Process & Stain
I mix my own 100% natural henna cones from scratch, avoiding all chemicals, which is the secret behind the deep, rich maroon stain you see in my photos. During every appointment, I apply a lemon-sugar sealant as part of my process, which helps lock in the color and ensures your design stays vibrant throughout your wedding festivities.
Creating the perfect mehendi stain is a process that relies on two things: high-quality ingredients and patience. I use 100% natural henna paste, prepared in-house, which means there are no harsh chemicals that could irritate your skin. This is particularly important for bridal appointments, where I spend 3.5 to 4.5 hours ensuring every peacock, lotus, or geometric pattern is detailed and precise.
After the application, I guide my clients on proper aftercare, which is just as vital as the drawing itself. Leaving the henna on for the recommended time and avoiding water immediately after removal allows the stain to oxidize and deepen to that dark, reddish-brown color.
Whether I am working on a bridal piece in Kandivali or a festival design in Vasai-Virar, my focus remains on the clarity of the design and the richness of the final stain. If you are planning an event, please remember that natural henna requires time to develop. I recommend planning your application at least 24 to 48 hours before your main ceremony to ensure the color reaches its peak.
