My Journey & Professional Makeup Teaching Philosophy
From London-trained techniques to being awarded Best Bridal Makeup Artist of the Year 2024, my teaching approach is built on hands-on mentorship, not just theory.
A glimpse from the She Beauty Awards night. This award is a milestone that reinforces my commitment to excellence, a value I instill in every student who joins my academy.
The moment I was announced as the Best Bridal Makeup Artist of the Year. I am filled with gratitude, and it fuels my passion to mentor the next generation of talented artists.
A collage celebrating the legacy of the 'Best Bridal MUA' award. I am honored to be part of this group of talented artists and to bring this level of recognized expertise to my students.
Holding my first major award after eight years of dedication. This pink lady represents my belief that success comes from consistency, hard work, and a genuine passion for the craft.
On stage at the She Beauty Awards 2024. This recognition is not just for me, but for every client and student who has trusted me on this journey.
A selfie with the award. I am excited to bring the experience and credibility that comes with this honor back to my classroom.
A note on my teaching philosophy. I prioritize the learning experience over marketing, which is why students join me to learn the specific, high quality style of makeup they see in my portfolio.
About this collection
I cap every academy batch at just 10 students. This isn't just a number, it is the only way I can personally correct your hand movements, watch you blend, and ensure you are learning the actual 'why' behind a technique rather than just copying a demo.
My path to becoming a makeup artist was not about following trends but about mastering the fundamentals. When I trained in London, I learned that true professional makeup is about skin science, color theory, and knowing how to adjust your technique for different face shapes. That is the philosophy I brought back to Bangalore.
My classes are designed for those who want a career, not just a certificate. Whether you are aiming for South Indian bridal makeup, modern reception glam, or high-fashion editorial looks, I teach the mechanics behind the art.
Why my academy is different:
- Hands-on Mentorship: You do not just watch me demonstrate; you get your hands on the product. I guide you through skin prep, manual airbrush finishes, and sweat-resistant locking methods.
- Small Batches: By keeping groups to 10, we ensure that every question is answered and every mistake is corrected in real-time.
- Business Reality: A makeup career is also about client handling, quoting, and vendor networking. We cover these essential professional skills alongside the artistic ones.
When I see a student finish a look and we both agree it is 'tumba chennagittu' (very good), that is the success I am looking for. I am not focused on flashy marketing materials; I am focused on creating artists who are industry-ready. If you are serious about refining your craft, you will find this environment demanding but deeply rewarding.
