D2C Food & Pantry Essentials Photography
We turn pantry staples into visual assets that sell. From the grainy texture of artisan ghee to the rich aroma of roasted coffee, we style and shoot to make your products stop the scroll.
We bring out the story of your product. Here, a hand stirs a bowl of Aazol's ghee, suggesting tradition and authentic preparation, making the product feel personal and trustworthy.
Texture sells. This extreme close-up of Aazol's ghee highlights its rich, granular texture, a key quality indicator for discerning customers, shot to look almost like a landscape.
It’s all about setting the scene. We styled this shot for Aazol ghee with traditional earthenware and a wooden churner to evoke a sense of heritage and purity.
A macro shot that emphasizes the pure, grainy quality of the ghee. Capturing these details is crucial for D2C food brands that pride themselves on quality ingredients.
For Stand By Coffee, we created a rich, aromatic scene. The frame is filled with fresh coffee beans, with the branded packaging and a perfectly made latte to showcase the end product.
A festive spread for Cloudchef, featuring their kheer. We used brass utensils and a banana leaf to create an authentic, celebratory feel for this traditional Indian dessert.
This shot focuses on the rich toppings of cashews and raisins on a traditional pongal or kheer, using warm lighting to create a comforting and appetizing image.
We show variety in styling even for the same dish. Here, the kheer is presented in different traditional bowls, giving the client multiple visual options for their menu and marketing.
Perfectly seared Galouti kebabs arranged on parchment paper. The focus is on the texture and color of the meat, making it look juicy and delicious for a food delivery platform.
A different angle for Cloudchef's kebabs, this time on an ornate silver platter with fresh mint and onions. This styling elevates the dish, making it suitable for premium marketing.
About D2C Food & Pantry Essentials
When you are selling pantry essentials like ghee or coffee online, flat images do not cut it. Customers need to see the grain, the pour, and the freshness to trust the quality. We use macro lenses and high-speed lighting to bring out those specific details, so your product looks as high-quality on a screen as it does in your customer’s kitchen.
Most pantry brands struggle because their online listings look flat or generic. Our approach in our Lower Parel studio changes that. We focus on what we call 'in-use' shots. This means capturing the granular texture of your ghee, the perfect viscosity of an oil, or the steam rising from a fresh coffee brew. These details matter because they build immediate trust with buyers who cannot physically hold your product before purchasing.
We don't just shoot products; we build a narrative around them. Whether you are a new D2C label or an established player, we manage the entire production process. We source the right props—think traditional brass bowls, rustic wood, or clean linen—to match your brand identity.
We also optimize for the platform. A shot that works for an Instagram ad often needs a different crop and lighting balance than a catalogue shot for Amazon or Swiggy. We handle all of that, including standard color correction and white balance, ensuring your images are ready for your storefront the moment you receive them. We operate out of our dedicated 2,700 sq ft space in Mumbai, meaning we have full control over the lighting and styling setup for every shoot.
Lost And Hungry Studios
I started shooting in my parents’ living room and built this into a 40-person studio because I am obsessed with getting the shot right. My team at Lost and Hungry and I do not just click buttons; we style, light, and edit until your product looks mad good. We are based in Lower Parel and ready to make your food pop.
