My Personal Style & Styling Principles

I believe in practicing what I preach. These are my daily looks, built on the same principles of color, silhouette, and balance that I teach in my workshops.

Power dressing doesn't always mean a blazer. This structured denim co-ord set is my summer alternative. The straight wide-leg pants elongate my legs, and the darted top creates structure for a chic, powerful look.

A mirror selfie showing a monochromatic look in a deep wine color. This is a great example of how wearing one color family can create a sophisticated and slimming effect. I always advise choosing colors that suit your undertone.

Here is the full monochromatic outfit. Wearing different tones of the same color family is a simple yet effective styling trick. It's an easy way to look elegant and put-together with minimal effort.

This graphic explains why monochromatic styling works so well. It makes you look taller and slimmer, looks elegant and expensive, and is easy to mix and match for both Indian and Western wear.

About My Personal Style

Look at that monochromatic wine-colored set in the gallery. By keeping the top and bottom in the same color family, I am creating a vertical line that adds instant height. This is a simple, effective trick you can replicate with your own clothes, regardless of your body type, to look put-together without putting in much effort.

My approach to styling isn't about chasing trends or buying a new wardrobe every month. It is about understanding your proportions. When I wear these outfits, I am applying specific rules—like the Rule of Thirds or Negative Spacing—to ensure my frame looks balanced.

Why This Works

  • Monochromatic Magic: Whether you are wearing an all-white chikankari suit or a formal black ensemble, sticking to one color family creates an uninterrupted silhouette. This is the fastest way to look taller and slimmer.
  • Structure over Bulk: Notice the structured sleeveless top. It creates defined shoulders and a waistline without being too tight. This is a key hack if you want to avoid that 'lost in fabric' look.
  • The 'Real Life' Test: My personal style focuses on pieces that move with me. If I cannot sit, walk, or work comfortably in it, I don't wear it. My goal is for you to build a wardrobe that you actually reach for on a Tuesday morning, not just special occasions.

How We Can Work Together

If you find yourself staring at a full closet and still thinking 'I have nothing to wear,' that is a sign we need to audit your wardrobe. We don't need to throw everything away. Often, we just need to re-learn how to mix and match. Whether you are dealing with a pear, apple, or rectangle body shape, there is a formula that will make you feel confident. Let's find yours.
