Creative Magic & Visual Illusions
Magic isn't just about tricks. These are my experiments in bending reality—from balancing everyday objects to playing with light and shadow—designed to create that split-second look of wonder.
This is another piece from my 'Santulan' series, this time with a borrowed pen. The challenge is to find the perfect point of balance to create a moment of stillness that defies gravity.
I call this piece 'Nizhal', which means shadow. It's an experiment in shadow play, where my own shadow seems to have a mind of its own. It's a surreal and slightly eerie illusion.
I was traveling in Kashmir and was inspired by the beautiful snowfall to try something new. This is a short clip of me playing with the idea of levitation in a completely natural setting.
The 'Tetradactyl' illusion is a piece of body magic that plays with your perception. It's a strange and fun concept that always gets a double take.
The 'Invisible Finger' is a quick, surreal illusion using just my hand and a ring. It's a simple visual that looks like something out of a dream.
This piece explores the relationship between light and darkness. It's a more thematic card trick that uses a phone's flashlight to tell a small story about how light can reveal what's hidden in the shadows.
About this collection
When you see these illusions, remember that I am not using hidden strings, camera angles, or post-production edits. The 'Santulan' series—where I balance a pen or a spoon—is all done with basic physics and patience, and I can perform these exact effects with your own borrowed objects at your venue. It is about proving that magic can happen in your hands, not just on a distant stage.
Beyond the Stage
Many people think magic belongs exclusively on a big stage with bright lights. I believe the most powerful moments happen when the illusion is intimate, occurring right in front of you using common objects like coins, rings, or mobile phones. This collection of creative concepts focuses on that raw, interactive experience.
The Science of 'Santulan' (Balance)
My balancing act, which I call Santulan, is a practice in stillness. It isn't a trick in the traditional sense; it is a discipline. Whether I am balancing matchboxes at a house party or a borrowed pen at a corporate gathering, the goal is to create a moment of genuine silence where the audience forgets to breathe. It forces you to question what is possible within the laws of gravity.
Experimental Visuals
I often use this space to test new ideas. From playing with shadow and light to using my own hands to create surreal shapes, these clips represent my ongoing research into what creates a 'wonder' reaction. If you are looking for entertainment that breaks away from standard card tricks and offers something conceptually unique for your guests, these styles of performance are highly effective for engaging smaller, curious groups.
Why This Works for Private Events
If you are planning an intimate gathering in Bengaluru or anywhere across India, these visual illusions act as perfect conversation starters. Unlike a long stage show, this performance style allows me to circulate, engage individuals, and leave them with a story to tell long after the event ends.
Sanjay
I'm Sanjay, and I chase that split-second look of confusion and joy when reality seems to slip just a little. Whether it's balancing a borrowed pen or playing with shadows, I treat every moment as a chance to show you something you didn't think was possible.
