Aerial Drone Photography of UP by Night
Seeing our cities from the sky after dark changes everything. Here are the lights of Prayagraj and Varanasi captured from up above.
This is Sangam in Prayagraj, captured at night from my drone. I love how this aerial perspective shows the entire layout of the illuminated grounds, turning the city into a breathtaking pattern of light. This is the kind of large scale event coverage I specialize in.
A top-down drone view of the boats, or 'naav', clustered at Sangam. This unique angle reveals a colorful mosaic against the dark water, a perspective you can only get from the sky. It shows the scale and life of our ghats.
An aerial night view of the famous Assi Ghat in Varanasi. From above, you can see the glow of the streetlights, the illuminated boats on the Ganga, and the energy of the people along the riverbank.
A distant shot of a Christmas Mela in Prayagraj. The colorful Ferris wheel stands out against the night, capturing the fun and festive spirit of the fair.
About UP by Night: Drone Cityscapes
Capturing aerial night shots is tricky because of the low light and constant crowd movement. I rely on the DJI Phantom 4 to keep shots stable and crisp, even when there is minimal ambient light at the Sangam or Assi Ghat.
When the sun goes down, the energy in cities like Prayagraj and Varanasi shifts. I specialize in mapping this energy from above using my drone. Shooting at night is about more than just having the right gear. It is about understanding the timing of the crowd and the way artificial lights reflect off the water or the pandals.
Whether it is the Sangam at night or the Christmas Mela, I make sure the footage looks cinematic. I use both the DJI Phantom 4 and the Mavic Air 2s to handle different lighting conditions. I have spent years flying over these locations, so I know exactly where to position the drone to get the best lines of light.
If you are planning an event or a festival in UP, I can provide the same high-level aerial perspective to showcase the scale of your gathering. I am based in Mirzapur and Prayagraj, but I travel across the region to bring this specific style to your project.
