Expert, science-backed care for life's biggest transitions—whether you are prepping for your wedding or navigating hormonal skin changes.

Bridal breakouts are often a direct response to stress, lack of sleep, and diet changes leading up to the wedding. My approach is not to use harsh peels but to calm the skin with hydration, barrier-boosting treatments, and lifestyle tweaks for stability over correction.

For my brides-to-be, especially in the final month before the wedding, my advice is always "less is more." This is not the time to experiment with new facials or peels. The focus should be on protecting the skin barrier, hydration, and calming care.

With the wedding season here, I have a few important "don'ts" for all brides-to-be. Avoid strong peels, aggressive facial scrubs, and last-minute waxing if you've never done it before, as these can cause irritation or breakouts.

Perimenopause can be a confusing time, with symptoms like mood swings, anxiety, dry skin, and thinning hair. It's important to know that these skin changes are real and treatable, and you don't have to navigate this journey alone.

Menopause is a phase that can last for several years, bringing with it significant hormonal and physiological changes that impact the skin. In my practice, I focus on helping women understand and manage these effects on their skin, hair, and overall well-being.

The four most common skin changes I see during the perimenopausal phase are dryness, pigmentation, brittle hair and nails, and early signs of aging. If you are experiencing these issues, please reach out, as we have effective ways to manage them.

Treating skin changes during the perimenopausal phase is a passion of mine. I was grateful to be part of the launch of the Menopause Clinic at Nanavati Max Hospital, where a team of specialists, including myself, provide holistic care for women navigating this transition.

About Specialized Care: Bridal & Menopausal Skin

Bridal skin prep and menopausal care both demand the same thing: protecting your skin barrier. I never recommend aggressive peels or last-minute experiments, whether you are prepping for a wedding or dealing with hormonal shifts, because your skin is likely already under stress. My approach focuses on stabilization, hydration, and long-term health rather than quick, risky fixes.
