This image captures me during a hands-on surgical workshop, honing my skills. Dermatosurgery requires immense focus and precision, whether it's a simple mole removal, a skin biopsy, or a more complex scar revision surgery.
My participation certificate from a Dermatosurgery workshop at COSDERMINIDA 2024. Continuous training in surgical techniques is essential for me to provide the safest and most effective treatments, including keloid removal and nail surgery.
About Dermatosurgery Expertise
When dealing with skin growths like lipomas, cysts, or moles, the goal is not just removal; it is about doing it with minimal scarring. I use precise suturing techniques and sterile protocols to ensure that once the area heals, it looks as natural as possible. It is a minor procedure, but I treat it with the same attention I give to complex surgeries because I know it matters to you.
Dermatosurgery requires more than just removing a growth; it requires understanding the skin's anatomy and how it heals. Whether you are coming in for radiofrequency (RF) removal of warts and skin tags or a minor surgical excision for a persistent lipoma or sebaceous cyst, my approach remains the same: precision and safety.
How I Approach Surgical Removal
For smaller benign lesions like warts, skin tags, or DPNs, I often use Radiofrequency (RF) or Electrocautery. This technology allows for precise cutting and coagulation, which minimizes bleeding and promotes faster healing. For larger growths like a 2-3 cm lipoma or a cyst, I perform a surgical excision. This involves local anesthesia to keep you comfortable, followed by layered suturing using fine medical-grade materials to reduce the risk of a visible scar.
What to Expect
- Evaluation: Every procedure starts with a consultation where we examine the growth to ensure it is benign. If there is any doubt, I advise a biopsy.
- Sterility: All procedures take place in a dedicated sterile room at my Andheri West clinic, ensuring your safety throughout.
- Recovery: I am always honest about healing. Some procedures require suture removal in 7 to 10 days, while others might just need a simple dressing change. I will give you a clear plan so you know what to expect during your downtime.
My goal is to help you feel confident in your skin again, without the anxiety that often comes with surgical procedures. Sab theek ho jayega (everything will be alright), but we will take the necessary steps to get there properly.
