Custom Paver Patios & Walkways in Central Ohio
We build durable paver patios and walkways designed to handle central Ohio's weather. Whether you need a simple garden path or a complete backyard living area, we focus on the structural base so your investment stays level and lasts for years.
Here is a closer look at a circular paver kit I installed. The contrasting border stone really makes the pattern stand out as a centerpiece for the patio.
This paver patio incorporates low retaining walls to create a more defined and level space. It's a practical way to handle a sloped yard while adding seating.
A new paver walkway leading to the front door gives this home a fresh, clean entrance. The new sod on either side will fill in to complete the look.
This shows the finished patio from another angle. I designed the curved shape to flow with the existing driveway and create a more natural-looking space.
The homeowner chose these large-format travertine pavers for their patio. I also installed a small garden bed against the brick wall and a stone border.
Here is the completed patio and planting bed next to the brick house. The new mulch and defined edge make the whole area look tidy and intentional.
A wider view of the same patio project, showing how it connects the driveway to the side of the house and creates a new outdoor seating area.
Even a small, unused corner of a yard can be turned into a useful space. This simple circular patio is just big enough for a small table and chairs.
I also do practical hardscaping jobs, like this paver walkway I installed leading to the door of a shed. It keeps the entrance clean and mud-free.
About Patios & Walkways
A patio is only as good as the ground underneath it. We do not just lay pavers on top of the soil; we excavate six to eight inches down and pack in a four-inch aggregate base before laying a sand bed. This extra step prevents the patio from sinking and ensures water drains away from your foundation, which is crucial here in central Ohio.
Our Approach to Hardscaping
We believe a patio should be more than just a flat surface. When we design a walkway or patio, we account for the existing landscape to ensure it flows naturally with your yard. We use high-density concrete pavers because they hold up to freeze-thaw cycles better than cheaper alternatives, and we always install them with polymeric sand in the joints to lock the stones together and block weed growth.
Custom Features
Beyond standard patios, we build functional features that add value to your backyard:
- Stone Fire Pits: We construct wood-burning fire pits using heat-resistant fire bricks and decorative stone veneer, giving you a safe and permanent spot for gatherings.
- Retaining Walls: If your yard has a slope, we incorporate low retaining walls. These help manage erosion and create defined levels in your outdoor space, allowing you to use land that was previously difficult to navigate.
- Natural Stone Integration: We often mix in natural boulders or flagstone to transition hardscapes into soft garden beds.
Longevity and Maintenance
We build for the long haul. By prioritizing proper excavation, slope management, and edge restraint, we ensure that your patio doesn't shift or puddle water after a heavy rain. After we finish an installation, we make sure the site is clean, edges are trimmed, and the adjacent lawn is protected. If you have a specific space in mind—like a small circular seating area or a path to your shed—we can tailor the pattern and material choice to fit the existing style of your home.
