Learn Salsa and Bachata Fundamentals in Delhi
Think you have two left feet? Perfect. My classes are all about finding your rhythm in a friendly, no-pressure space where we ditch the formal drills and focus on the fun. Haanji, let's dance.
Adding a little romance to your life, one step and one twirl at a time. Our group classes are filled with laughter and learning as couples and solo dancers discover the joy of Latin dance together.
You don't need a partner to join the fun. Our classes are designed for everyone, and we rotate partners so you get to dance with different people and improve your skills in a social setting.
From your first hesitant steps to feeling the rhythm flow through you, it all happens here. This collage shows the progression and energy of our Delhi Bachata classes, where beginners find their footing.
"Feel the rhythm, own the floor." I guide students through the basic steps of partner dancing, focusing on clear counts and proper handholds to build a strong foundation from the very first class.
Here, I'm observing the class as they practice their turns. My role is to provide individual feedback and ensure everyone feels supported as they learn new moves and build their dance vocabulary.
This clip shows me demonstrating a 'cross body lead,' a fundamental move in Salsa. I break down complex moves into simple, manageable parts so that even absolute beginners can master them.
The smiles say it all. This is a moment of pure joy during a class, where students are practicing a turn sequence. My goal is to make learning to dance a happy and liberating experience.
A look at our class practicing a synchronized arm styling movement. Even in a group setting, we focus on the small details that make your dancing look more polished and graceful.
One, two, three, five, six, seven. The rhythm is everything. Here you can see a couple working on their timing and connection during a Bachata class, with me guiding them through the count.
I often dance with students one on one to give them a better feel for the movement. Here, I'm leading a student through a basic step, helping her understand the rhythm and flow of Bachata.
About Learn the Basics: Our Beginner Classes
We rotate partners during every class, so you don't need to bring one—or even know the steps. My goal is to make sure you get comfortable with the lead-and-follow technique in a safe space, where the only thing we take seriously is having a good time.
Whether you are in Safdarjung or traveling from Gurugram, my beginner classes are designed to break down the myth that you need natural talent to dance. We start from zero—no complex choreography, just the rhythm.
In our sessions, we focus heavily on foundational steps. In Salsa, that means mastering the cross-body lead and basic turns. In Bachata, we focus on the sway and the connection. You’ll learn how to hold your partner, how to count the beat (one, two, three, tap!), and how to maintain the flow without getting stiff.
I’ve taught over 2000 beginners, and the biggest barrier is usually just walking through the door. That’s why our environment is built on being a 'tribe' rather than a traditional classroom. You’ll make mistakes, you’ll laugh about them, and you’ll get better—that’s the process. We record practice snippets at the end of sessions so you can refine your footwork at home.
What you will learn:
- Basic rhythm and timing using the 8-count system.
- Proper handholds and posture for partner work.
- How to lead or follow with confidence.
- The fundamentals of Salsa and Bachata.
If you are looking for dance classes in Delhi, we keep things simple, professional, and full of energy. No judgment, just pure dance.
