The Margam: Traditional Repertoire

This is the heart of my Bharatanatyam practice, featuring the traditional solo format. You'll see a range of pieces, from intricate Varnams and energetic Jathis to concluding Thillanas, showcasing both technical precision (Nritta) and expressive storytelling (Abhinaya).

Abhinaya: The Art of Expression

For me, dance is a language to convey deep emotion and tell stories. This collection features close-up moments of *abhinaya* (facial expression), where I explore themes of love, devotion, yearning, and joy from ancient poetry.

Akhyat Ākhyānā: Narratives of the Unheard

This production is a deep dive into the female perspective, exploring desire, faith, and activism through the words of women poets across centuries. It combines dance with multilingual poetry from figures like Savitribai Phule, Andal, and Akka Mahadevi.

VitthāMāi & Varkari Poetry: Exploring the Maternal Divine

This work reimagines the male deity Vitthala as a mother figure, drawing from the rich Marathi *Abhanga* poetry of the Varkari saints. It explores the fluidity of devotion and the unique maternal relationship between the deity and devotees like Janabai and Tukaram.

Kanhopatra: A Saint's Story

This is an autobiographical exploration of Kanhopatra, a 15th-century Marathi saint-poet. Through her own words, the performance delves into her vulnerability, devotion, and ultimate surrender, a story that I find deeply moving and cathartic to portray.

Abandhana: Voices of Buddhist Nuns

'Abandhana' (Unfettered) is a dance-theatre piece that brings to life the Therīgāthā, the earliest known anthology of women's literature from 6th century BCE. Using Pāli poetry, the work explores the trauma, struggles, and resilience of elder Buddhist nuns.

Performances, Press & Posters

This is a collection of moments from my journey as a performer, including announcements for upcoming shows, reviews from critics, and memories from various festivals and tours across the globe. It's a testament to the collaborative spirit of this art form and the audiences who make it all worthwhile.
