Ever wondered how to steady your grip or manage your breath like a pro? Whether you are just starting or prepping for a competition, these fundamentals from our coaches will help you hit the bullseye.

Every shooter, from a beginner to an Olympian, must master the four basic parameters: Aiming, Breathing, Triggering, and Follow-through. Our coaching is built on perfecting these fundamentals.

Let's talk about Aiming, the first parameter. Our coach explains the two types of aiming, peep sight and open sight, and how to achieve proper sight alignment for both rifle and pistol shooting.

Breathing is the second key parameter. Our coach explains the proper sequence: inhale as you lift the pistol, exhale as you land on the target area, and then hold for up to 7 seconds before you shoot.

The third parameter is Triggering. It's not about pulling, it's about a smooth, controlled squeeze. Our coach demonstrates the two-stage pull for maximum accuracy.

The final parameter is Follow-through. Our coach explains why holding your position after the shot is crucial for analyzing your performance and improving your next shot.

Here are four key points for a strong pistol shooting stance. Our coach demonstrates how to position your feet, establish a firm grip, keep your arm straight, and lock your neck for a stable posture.

Finding your natural shooting angle is key to comfort and consistency. Our coach walks you through a simple exercise to find the perfect angled position for your body.

About this collection

Most beginners focus solely on their aim, but the real secret to accuracy is the follow-through. After you squeeze the trigger, do not drop your arm immediately. Hold your position for just a second longer and keep your eyes on the sight picture. This simple hold lets you analyze exactly where your shot landed so you can adjust your next move instead of blindly firing again.

Shooting is not just about the gear you hold; it is about the mental, physical, and technical coordination of your body. At Champions Shooting Range, we break down these complex movements into simple, actionable steps that anyone can follow.

The Four Pillars of Shooting

To improve your accuracy, you must master the four basic parameters:

  1. Aiming: Whether you use open sights or peep sights, your focus must be on aligning the front and rear sights with the target.
  2. Breathing: Proper control is vital. Inhale as you lift the pistol, exhale as you bring it down, and hold your breath for no more than 7 seconds in the aiming area to avoid muscle tremors.
  3. Triggering: It is not about pulling the trigger; it is about a smooth, two-stage squeeze. Apply continuous pressure to avoid jerking the weapon.
  4. Follow-through: As mentioned, this is where you analyze your mistake. Keep your stance firm and your eyes on the target until the shot is complete.

Why Technique Matters

People often come to our ranges in Andheri, Chembur, Powai, or Malad thinking it is all about raw talent. The truth is, shooting is a discipline. We see kids as young as 8 and professionals in their 50s learning the same fundamentals.

We provide 1-on-1 correction on your stance, grip, and breathing. We have seen shooters who were nervous on day one go on to win medals because they stopped treating shooting as just a hobby and started treating it as a process. If you want to move beyond the basics, come visit us. We do not just teach you to shoot; we help you find your focus.
