Elegant Naming Ceremony Decor & Floral Cradles
Welcome your little one with decor that feels as special as the moment. Whether it's an intimate home gathering or a grand banquet ceremony, I design setups that blend traditional rituals with modern aesthetics.
A luxurious and grand naming ceremony held at home. I used a theme of oversized paper flowers in pink and purple to create a breathtaking backdrop and decorated the entire space, including the dining area, to match.
This floral moon cradle is one of my most requested pieces for naming ceremonies. The cradle, adorned with fresh flowers, hangs within a large crescent moon covered in roses, creating a heavenly spot for the baby.
A divine Krishna-themed naming ceremony at the ITC Maratha. The decor features custom backdrops of little Krishna, peacock illustrations, cow cutouts, and the baby's name in large marquee letters.
A beautiful floral cradle setup for a naming ceremony. The baby's cradle is covered in white flowers and hangs within a circular arch decorated with a mix of white, purple, and yellow flowers.
A glimpse of a full-scale naming ceremony event I decorated at the Imperial Banquet in Vashi. The decor included a traditional backdrop with bells, floral arrangements, and balloon pathways for the family's grand entrance.
About Naming Ceremonies (Naamkaran)
Getting the balance right between a traditional cradle setup and modern decor is usually the biggest challenge for parents. I handle this by using modular floral cradles and hanging moon structures that fit just as easily into a compact living room as they do on a banquet stage, ensuring you don't have to compromise on visuals regardless of your venue size.
Traditional Meets Modern
Whether it's a traditional Naamkaran or a modern naming ceremony, the centerpiece is always the cradle (palna). I work with two distinct approaches: the grand floral moon-cradle setup for halls, and the cozy, elegant home floral arrangements for smaller family gatherings.
Custom Themes
We don't do cookie-cutter backdrops. If you want a Krishna-themed setup with peacock cutouts and marquee lights, we can scale that up. If you prefer a simpler white-and-pastel floral vibe with minimal balloon accents, I can make that look premium without overwhelming your space.
Practical Details
- Venue Adaptation: For home ceremonies, I recommend sticking to backdrops that don't block out your natural lighting. If you’re booking a banquet like the Imperial in Vashi, we focus on the grand entrance pathways and stage presence.
- Floral Quality: I focus on high-quality floral arrangements—using premium artificial blooms that stay vibrant throughout the entire function—so your backdrop looks perfect in every photo.
- Setup Time: For home setups, we are usually done in about 90 minutes. For larger, hall-based ceremonies, we typically need 4 hours to ensure every detail, from the marquee lighting to the flooring, is perfectly placed.
My setups for naming ceremonies are designed to be photo-ready instantly, letting you focus on the blessings and the food while I take care of the visual magic.
