About The Art of Detail

You will notice my designs rely heavily on layering. I do not just sketch patterns, I build them, starting with the base jaal (net) work and gradually adding denser floral motifs and bold shading until the negative space disappears. This density is precisely why the final stain is so deep and dark, as more henna paste sits on the skin for a longer period during the drying process, allowing the natural color to fully develop.
