How I Approach Summer Shoots

When I'm shooting by the water, my goal is to make the audience feel like they are right there on the sand with me. I don't use heavy filters or dramatic effects. Instead, I rely on clean color grading that enhances the blue of the sky and the warmth of the sun.

My approach is split into two styles:

• The Candid Lifestyle: This is what you see in the 'photo dumps'—pizza on the beach, walking along the shoreline, or just enjoying the breeze. These work best for brands that want to build a relatable, accessible connection with their audience.
• The Product Focus: When integrating a product, whether it's a skincare item or a new summer dress, I blend it into the scene naturally. The product becomes part of the day, not the only focus of the shot.

Locations and Logistics

I am based in Toronto, but I frequently travel across Ontario to find the perfect backdrop. I have shot extensively at Crystal Beach, Saugeen Beach, and Woodbine Beach. If your brand needs a specific location that captures that perfect 'Canadian Summer' feel, I am open to coordinating travel.
