Food Philosophy: Old Roots, New Flavours
I’m all about changing how people see plant-based food. For me, food is pure emotion - that Maakehaathkakhana feeling. I try to keep traditions alive, just without any animal products. Think of me as your vegan enabler - I want to help you discover new flavours and still hold onto those old-school memories.
Sweets Reimagined: Vegan Indian Mithai
I love bringing classic Indian mithai back in a dairy-free way. My 56 Bhog for Janmashtami was completely plant-based and honestly, making it felt like a win. You’ll get the same taste you’re used to, but with a little more compassion. My vegan Indian sweets range covers everything:
- Modaks, Ghughra, and festive favourites
- Options without refined sugar - I use dates and jaggery when possible
- Oil-free and gluten-free sweets
- Hits like Motichoor Laddoos, Moong Dal Halwa (with my own plant-based ghee), and sugar-free Anjeer Barfi
Guilt-Free Munchies & Snacks
For those chai breaks or kids’ tiffins, I do roasted snacks - no frying, no palm oil, just healthy vegan snacks. If you’ve ever had Ponk in winter, you know it’s special. I make Ponk Bhel, oil-free Ponk Seekh Kebabs, millet golgappe, and even ratalu chips.
My Kitchen: How I Get the Taste
People always ask, “How do you get the flavour without dairy?” My secret’s my own vegan staples. I make vegan ghee using the bilona method and homemade vegan cheese and sauces (still experimenting, but results are cool). I use fresh, high quality ingredients, mostly organic, and skip refined flour, salt, and sugar whenever I can. Good food should feel good, yaar.
Delivery

My Story
We’re The Vedic Kitchen. Life took us from banking and HR to cooking with heart. Nostalgia is big for us – think mulberries on Delhi streets, and maakehaathkakhana (food cooked by mother's hands). Our Gurgaon kitchen is like mini-Gujarat, full of ratalu puri and old-school flavours, but all vegan. We’re here to be your vegan enabler, making food that’s kind and tasty. When we made vegan 56 Bhog for Janmashtami, felt proud – flavour, no harm.
