Music is rarely just sound for me; it is a ritual. My foundation lies in Carnatic music, and returning to these traditional kritis is how I find my center. I do not just sing them; I arrange them, often weaving in my own flute melodies to create a soundscape that feels both ancient and personal.
My home studio setup allows me to treat these devotional recordings with the same care as my film projects. I use a large diaphragm condenser mic to capture the nuances of the flute and the breathiness of my vocals.
