I believe that filmmaking is a vital tool for advocacy. Here, I create stories that give voice to our wetlands and the wildlife that cannot speak for themselves.

This film, "Chalo Chanakya," is the heart of my advocacy work. It documents the citizens' movement to save the Navi Mumbai wetlands, blending the serene beauty of the flamingos with the harsh reality of urban expansion. My goal was to create a powerful narrative that asks the tough questions about our choices.

A short teaser for my film "Chalo Chanakya." It was created to build excitement and rally support for the launch, highlighting the core conflict between development and preservation that the full film explores in depth.

I was privileged to speak at the India Civic Summit and present my film "Chalo Chanakya." This video includes clips from the citizen protests and my speaker announcement, showing how my filmmaking directly supports on-the-ground environmental movements.

This image is a direct and urgent message about the environmental crisis we face. I created this composite of a lesser flamingo wearing a mask when the air quality in Navi Mumbai reached hazardous levels. It's a stark visual question: if we need masks to breathe, what about the wildlife that has no choice?

An egret's lucky day with a large shrimp, but the plastic bottle floating nearby tells a darker story. This image is a commentary on the plastic pollution that chokes our wetlands. I often use such images to urge people to make conscious choices, like carrying reusable bottles.

This sign, painted on a tree in the DPS mangrove area, reads "Sundar Majhe Ghar" or "My Beautiful Home." It's a simple yet powerful piece of communication that gets to the heart of the conservation issue. This isn't just a wetland; it's a home.

A wider view of the "Sundar Majhe Ghar" sign, showing its context within the beautiful but threatened landscape of the Navi Mumbai wetlands. These signs serve as a poignant reminder of what is at stake.

About Campaigns for Change: Giving Nature a Voice

When I film a campaign, I focus on the intersection of human choices and ecological health. It starts with a 30-minute deep-dive to extract the core narrative, moving beyond the obvious to uncover the story that needs to be told—whether that is the displacement of a species or the success of a citizen-led movement. I prioritize raw, authentic footage that makes the abstract issue of conservation feel personal and urgent.
