This is the goal: a title from a respected organization. Here I am receiving the PSA PDC certificate for my Dutch Shepherd, Angel, after she passed her trial with excellent marks.

A successful PSA trial requires perfect execution. This video shows a portion of Angel's PDC trial, including a vehicle scenario and a clean "out" command, where the dog releases its bite instantly.

This is the full protection routine from my Dutch Shepherd Thunder's PSA 1 trial. It's a high-pressure test of obedience, courage, and control, involving multiple decoys and scenarios.

Preparation is everything. Here, my Belgian Malinois Amon is practicing the focused heeling and rapid changes of position required for the PSA PDC obedience phase.

Environmental stability is a key part of PSA. Here, my dog Thunder practices staying steady on an elevated, unstable table while being approached by decoys, a difficult test of nerve.

The courage test is a fundamental part of the PSA PDC. This night session shows a dog facing down a threatening decoy with a stick, demonstrating the bravery required to pass.

This reel highlights the journey of my dog Angel to her PSA title. It shows the different elements of training, from bite work to obedience, that come together on trial day.

A clip from Thunder's successful PSA1 trial. This shows the "attack on handler" scenario, where the dog must defend me from a decoy, a critical part of the protection phase.

About PSA Competition Training

PSA training is not standard obedience. It is a demanding sport that tests your dog's nerves, drive, and control under pressure. Because of this, every dog must pass a 60-minute temperament assessment before we start. We need to evaluate their natural prey and defense drives to see if they are actually built for this work. If the genetics aren't right for sport, we don't force it.
