Featured Wildlife & Nature Photography
Big animals often get the glory, but the small stuff holds the real mystery. I spend my time tracking tiny crabs, camouflaged lizards, and butterflies to show you the world you usually walk right past. These are my favourite moments from the field.
This is the Giant Wood Spider, and she is an absolute queen. Getting this close lets you see the incredible detail on her body, which looks like a tiny, intricate mask. Her web is a masterpiece of natural engineering, almost invisible and incredibly strong.
Sometimes the best moments happen when you least expect them, and your best camera is the one you have with you. I captured this beautiful butterfly in Bali with just my phone, mesmerized by the way it danced on the flower. It’s a perfect reminder that it’s all about the moment.
This tiny Purple Shore Crab was one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever faced. Capturing a subject this small with my huge 600mm lens required so much patience and careful positioning. I’m incredibly proud of this shot because it represents the dedication I bring to every project.
You have to keep your eyes peeled out in the wild. I almost missed this Indian Monitor Lizard completely hidden in a tree hollow. The thrill of spotting a creature so perfectly camouflaged and capturing its curious peek is exactly why I love what I do.
Photography for me is not just about documenting, it's about creating art. I love playing with light and shadow to tell a different kind of story. This butterfly silhouette against the bright sky creates a simple, elegant, and mysterious mood that I just find magical.
I followed this Paper Kite butterfly as it floated through the air like a piece of paper caught in a gentle breeze. Seeing it finally rest on this vibrant green leaf was such a peaceful moment. This is what I mean by authentic wildlife storytelling, capturing creatures as they are, where they live.
About Featured
I rarely go out looking for a planned shot, because the best ones are always the ones that happen by surprise. Capturing a shy crab or a lizard peeking from a tree hollow requires hours of standing still and some serious patience with my 200-600mm lens. I follow a strict no-touch and no-disturb policy, so every image here is a genuine look at these creatures in their own habitat, completely untouched and free.
My approach to wildlife photography is simple: go slow, blend in, and let the wild reveal itself. Whether I am on a nature trail in Thane or tracking reptiles on a full-day expedition, the gear is just a tool to capture a moment that would otherwise go unnoticed.
I use a Sony a7 IV paired with a 200-600mm lens, which allows me to get those intimate close-ups of insects and spiders without getting too close to stress them out. For me, the real work isn't just taking the photo, it is the preparation. It is knowing how to manage light in the middle of a wetland or how to spot a perfectly camouflaged monitor lizard in a tree trunk that most people would walk right past.
Why I Focus on the Small Stuff
- Ethical Wildlife Photography: I do not believe in baiting or moving subjects. You get a raw, honest capture of behavior in the wild.
- Local Expertise: I know the nooks and crannies of Thane and Navi Mumbai. I can take you to the spots where these creatures actually live.
- Technique: I use background compression and natural lighting to make sure the subject pops, turning a tiny insect into a work of art.
Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn how to spot nature or just someone who loves the little details, I am here to share the experience. Let's head out and see what we can find.
