Meet the Judges & Mentors at Band-It Festival
Great performances aren't just discovered—they're built. Meet the industry legends who mentor our young stars on the Band-It stage.
Great performances are built with the right guidance. We welcome celebrated choreographer Terence Lewis to the Band-It festival to mentor and inspire young performers across all disciplines.
We bring a global perspective to our judging panel. We were honored to have Chaerin Kim, an international pianist and Grammy voting member, provide her expert feedback to our young musicians in Borivali.
Even established artists like Shenaz Treasury are part of our community, learning new skills and encouraging young performers to take the stage at Band-It. It's never too late to learn, and it's never too early to perform.
Our own faculty, like proud drummer and performer Ishaan Jadwani, have witnessed the incredible growth of young musicians on the Band-It stage. He shares his excitement for the next generation of talent in music, dance, and theatre.
We collaborate with rising stars like singer-songwriter Ishan Thakur to announce the return of Band-It. It's a competition that gets bigger and more massive every year, creating more opportunities for young artists.
Hear from singer Ishan Jadwani about how our collaboration with the Global School Group is making Band-It a truly grand and unmissable competition for students across Asia.
About Meet the Judges & Mentors
Getting on stage is the easy part—knowing what to do when you’re there is the game-changer. That’s why we invite industry pros, from Grammy-voting pianists to top-tier choreographers, to sit on our judging panels. You won't just get a score; you’ll get honest, technical feedback that helps you refine your sound and stage presence for the next round.
Why Feedback Matters
In most school competitions, you perform and hope for the best. At Band-It, we do things differently. Whether it's a solo piano act or a high-energy dance routine, every performer gets a scorecard summary. We believe that if you’re putting in the work, you deserve to know exactly how to improve.
Our Mentors & Judging Panel
We don't just pick names for the panel. We look for people who understand the hustle of performing arts. We’ve had Terence Lewis breaking down dance technique, and Grammy-voting pianists like Chaerin Kim critiquing classical form. These mentors don't just judge; they watch, they listen, and they offer insights that you can actually use in your next practice session.
What to Expect on Competition Day
When you step onto the stage at a regional round in Mumbai, Bangalore, or Chennai, you aren't just performing for a trophy. You are performing for an audience of peers and a panel of experts who genuinely want to see you get better. If you qualify for the Grand Finale, the stakes get higher, the sound systems get louder, and the feedback gets even more specific. It's not about being perfect—it's about finding your sound and owning it.
