About this collection
You do not need to be an FSM student to register. Band-It is open to all students from Grades 4 to 10 across India, whether you are a solo vocalist or part of a full band. You just need a 5-7 minute audition video or a live slot in your city to get in. If you qualify, you are not just getting a score—you are getting feedback from judges who have built careers in music, dance, and drama.
What is Band-It?
Band-It is not just a school competition; it is a platform designed to turn student passion into real-world performance experience. Now in its 9th year, the festival spans music, dance, and drama, giving students across the country a chance to own the stage.
The Competition Format
- Regional Rounds: We host qualifiers in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai. This is where you test your mettle against other young artists in your region.
- The Grand Finale: Regional winners advance to the final stage, a professional-grade environment featuring high-end sound and lighting, similar to what you would see at a major concert.

We provide the backline, the sound checks, and the professional management. Our setup includes drums, guitar amps, mics, and keyboard stands—everything a professional band needs to sound their best.
We also bring in industry icons as mentors and judges. From Shaan to Sanam and Terence Lewis, these artists provide more than just scores; they offer insights into the craft of performance. Whether you are performing a monologue, a mime act, or a rock song, you are judged on your delivery, presence, and skill by people who know what the stage demands.
Performance Categories
- Music: Solo or group vocals and instrumentals (Guitar, Piano, Drums, etc.).
- Dance: Classical, contemporary, and modern dance forms.
- Speech & Drama: Stand-up comedy, monologues, mime, and musical drama for those who want to tell a story with their voice and movement.
Every participant receives a certificate of participation. Beyond the trophies, the goal is for you to walk away with more confidence and a clearer sense of your own sound.
