Instead, I read the room live, mixing technical, drop-heavy transitions that cater to the younger crowd while seamlessly shifting into the retro classics that get your parents on the floor. Whether it’s a Sangeet night needing a concert-style build-up or a Reception with a specific flow, I balance the energy so the dance floor stays active.
Sangeet and Reception nights are different beasts. The Sangeet requires high-octane energy for choreographed performances and high-tempo bangers. For the Reception, I lean into a more nuanced approach, balancing sophisticated dinner vibes with a gradual build-up to the main party.
My sets rely on reading the crowd's pulse rather than hitting a 'play' button. I blend 90s Bollywood nostalgia with modern Hip-Hop and Tech House, making sure everyone from your squad to your relatives stays engaged.
For technical requirements, I operate as the artist with my own performance gear, including my MacBook, controllers, and in-ear monitors. You will need to coordinate with your venue or AV vendor for the PA system, speakers, and the standard industry-grade console (Pioneer CDJ 2000NXS2/DJM 900 mixer).
If you’re looking to go late, I shift gears after the formal events conclude. I move into dedicated club sets—Tech House, Afro beats—to keep the momentum going until the early hours. If you need me to coordinate with live percussionists or Dhol players to turn the floor into a live concert, I am all for it.
