A curated look at my journey through the avian world. From the elusive Sri Lankan Frogmouth to vibrant kingfishers, these are the moments where patience met luck.
This Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, a jewel of the Indian rainforest, is captured with its hard-earned meal. The vibrant colors and the raw moment of survival represent the core of my work: capturing nature's unfiltered beauty. This shot was taken in the monsoon-drenched fields of Karnala, a moment of pure magic.
A dramatic mid-air chase over the water as a majestic Brahminy Kite pursues a swift Little Tern. This photograph freezes a split-second of nature's timeless dance of predator and prey, showcasing the power and grace of these coastal birds.
The Rufous-bellied Niltava is a splash of sapphire and sunset, a truly exotic bird from the Himalayan forests. Capturing its brilliant colors against the soft forest light is a reminder of the breathtaking artistry that exists in the wild, perfect for a fine art print.
After a two-year search through the forests of Goa, I finally met the Sri Lankan Frogmouth. A true master of disguise, its camouflage is so perfect it's more a phantom than a bird. This image is a testament to the patience required in wildlife photography.
The male Kalij Pheasant, with its glossy plumage and striking red face, is a regal inhabitant of the Himalayan foothills. Spotting this game bird stepping proudly through the grass is a reward for any journey into the mountains.
A darter emerges from the water, its neck extended in a graceful arc as it tosses its catch. This action shot captures the bird's unique hunting technique, a moment of precision and success that makes for a dynamic wildlife art piece.
Like a ribbon of snow dancing in the breeze, the Asian Paradise Flycatcher is a vision of elegance. Its long, flowing tail makes it one of the most graceful birds in Indian forests, a true symbol of natural purity.
In the quiet of a misty morning, two white egrets stand perfectly reflected in the still water. This is one of my first habitat shots, focusing on the mood and atmosphere of the environment to create a piece of serene, minimalist wall decor.
The Red Avadavat, or Strawberry Finch, is a tiny bird with an immense visual impact. This male, in his bright red breeding plumage, is a living jewel, a perfect example of how even the smallest creatures can be nature's greatest works of art.
The intense yellow eyes of the Jungle Owlet seem to look right through you. This small but fierce hunter, with its beautifully barred feathers, is a captivating subject, representing the mysterious and watchful spirit of the night.
About Featured
Every print I offer is more than just an image. I deliver museum-grade archival prints paired with a personal narrative card, detailing the bird's habitat, behavior, and the story of how I captured that specific moment, so you get the full history behind the lens.
When you bring a bird into your space, you are not just hanging a photo. You are inviting a piece of the wild. Whether it is the jewel-toned Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher or the master-of-camouflage Sri Lankan Frogmouth, my approach remains the same, total patience. I spend hours in the undergrowth of the Western Ghats or the foothills of the Himalayas to get these shots, always respecting the bird's safety first.
I print on museum-grade acid-free archival paper, ranging from A4 to A3, or heavy cotton rag and canvas for large format pieces, such as A2 and above. Each print arrives with a dedicated bio-data card, a small guide to the bird's life, its habitat, and the unique poem or reflection I wrote while watching it.
For professional use, such as editorial work or books, I offer high-resolution 300 DPI digital licenses. Every image is captured with professional gear and processed to maintain natural color accuracy. Beyond the prints, this work is a reminder to protect what we have. A portion of my passion is dedicated to the message of conservation. Save our earth, save our wildlife. If you have questions about specific bird behaviors, lighting, or which print finish suits your space, feel free to ask.
Bird Photography
I am a birding enthusiast who turned a deep love for travel and patience into wildlife photography. I do not just take photos. I hunt for the story, waiting years for a single shot of a hidden bird, or catching the sudden, beautiful surprises in my own backyard.
