We operate a collection of nature-focused lodges situated within prime wildlife habitats. From the bird-rich oak forests of Pangot to the quiet deodars of Jageshwar, our retreats provide a direct connection to the wilderness.

About Our Mountain Lodges & Retreats

When you stay at our lodges, you are checking into a basecamp for wildlife exploration rather than a standard hotel. Because these properties are located inside or immediately adjacent to forest reserves like Pangot or Jageshwar, the best birding and photography often happens just outside your cottage. We maintain strict noise discipline to protect the wildlife, so bring comfortable walking shoes and be ready to step straight from your door onto a forest trail.

Our lodges are designed to be an extension of the wild, not a barrier against it. We believe that accommodation in a wildlife habitat should be simple, comfortable, and unobtrusive.

Our Mountain Lodges

  • Jungle Lore Birding Lodge (Pangot): As India’s first birding lodge, this remains our flagship property for avian enthusiasts. Located in the oak forests, it is the starting point for the historic Pangot to Nainital trail. Expect resident owls and constant bird activity.
  • Van Serai (Jageshwar): Nestled among ancient deodar trees, this property emphasizes forest silence and mountain tranquility. It is our quietest retreat, ideal for those looking to disconnect and absorb the rhythm of the hills.
  • Renz Himalayan Retreat (Near Corbett): Located where the mountains meet the foothills, this property offers panoramic views. It is uniquely suited for those who want to balance deep nature observation with a bit of creative space—we even host music retreats here.
  • Gir Birding Lodge (Gujarat): Our outpost in the west, designed to place you in the path of the Asiatic lion and the unique flora of the Gir ecosystem.

Why Choose Our Retreats

We do not offer luxury resort amenities like swimming pools or televisions. Instead, we provide access. Each lodge is staffed by naturalists who can help you identify species, track animals, or simply navigate the terrain safely. Our meal plans are locally sourced and heart-warming, designed to sustain you for long days of trekking and observation. We focus on low-impact tourism, ensuring that your stay actively contributes to the preservation of the local ecology rather than placing a burden on it.
