About Specialized Movement Programs for Autism
What We Do
I run a movement program for kids with autism that’s all about flipping the script - here, I see autism as a superpower, not a setback. The idea is simple: let’s use the joy of gymnastics as a way for your child to grow, play, and discover new strengths.
Why Gymnastics Works
For many autistic kids, movement is more than exercise - it’s a way to communicate and connect. My classes blend physical activity with creative play so every session feels like fun, not therapy. We use sensory-friendly gymnastics to help kids build muscle, balance, and body awareness, but also to support their focus and problem-solving.
Growth in Every Tumble
- Skills: Kids improve motor coordination, agility, and core strength through obstacle courses and tumbling mats.
- Mindset: Learning new moves builds memory, discipline, and a resilient “can-do” attitude.
- Social: Group activities encourage teamwork and trust, helping kids practice social skills through movement.
Safe, Supportive Space
I’ve set up soft mats, foam pits, and low beams so kids can explore safely. Every child gets a personalized approach, with plans tailored to their pace. My mantra is “swalpa fun, swalpa focus” (a little fun, a little focus). I celebrate small wins, and no pressure - just encouragement.
We’re not just a gym, we’re namma community (our community) where every child belongs.
