Midsummer Dream Reception Decor: Whimsical Florals and Custom Structures
A garden of handcrafted dandelions and butterflies brought to life in a soft palette of pink and gold for an immersive reception experience.
The hall was illuminated by enormous, custom-built chandeliers made from thread curtains and flowers, with light installations that created a magical, floating effect. This demonstrates our ability to design and execute complex, large-scale lighting and structural elements.
The main stage was a vision of ethereal beauty, with a curved sofa nestled in a garden of flowers and handcrafted dandelions. The backdrop featured suede panels and an archway, all under a ceiling of cascading floral installations.
A closer view of the stage seating, surrounded by a lush, overflowing garden of pastel flowers. The design creates a sense of being enveloped by nature, turning a simple seating area into a fantastical photo opportunity.
The guest tables were designed with the same whimsical elegance, featuring tall, modern centerpieces and glowing orbs. The pink satin tablecloths and contemporary chairs tied the entire look together, creating a cohesive and sophisticated dining experience.
We used twisted, fluted panels with handcrafted butterflies to accent the main backdrop. This detail added texture and a sense of movement, enhancing the 'Midsummer Dream' theme and showcasing our custom fabrication skills.
Even the smallest details were thoughtfully designed, like this side table arrangement featuring a modern globe light, fresh orchids, and candles. It's these curated touches that elevate the overall guest experience.

About this collection
This reception wasn't just styled; it was engineered. We hand-cut the suede panels for the backdrop and worked with textile artists to construct those oversized chandeliers, ensuring every hanging floral thread moved with the air conditioning, not against it. When you work with us, you are not picking items from a catalogue; you are getting a team that builds structural elements from the ground up to fit the scale of your venue.
For this Midsummer Dream reception, our goal was to move beyond standard stage setups. We wanted the space to feel as though it were growing, with dandelions and butterflies as our primary motifs.
The Fabrication Process
Our design approach centers on custom fabrication. For this project, we moved away from off-the-shelf rentals. We designed the suede backdrop and twisted fluted panels to provide depth and texture, allowing the lighting to catch the edges of the structure throughout the evening. The large chandeliers, which serve as the focal point of the hall, were built using a complex combination of thread curtains and individual floral stems. This requires precise weight calculation to ensure they hang perfectly without needing support beams that distract from the visuals.
Designing for Impact
We specialize in venue transformations that manipulate the architecture of the space. By extending the stage across the length of the hall and installing organza panels with butterfly detailing, we effectively blurred the lines between the dance floor, dining area, and the stage.
Working with Us
Whether it is a garden wedding or a high-capacity reception, we apply the same rigour to our technical setup. Our team thrives on the complexity of combining floral arrangements with intelligent lighting and heavy-duty structural engineering. We do not just place flowers; we coordinate the entire environment to ensure that the lighting, seating, and floral density work in harmony. If you have a specific vision, even one that feels technically challenging, we are the team to execute it.
