About Gardening & Composting Supplies
Why I Do This
I started Project JanBhoomi because I believe in giving back to the earth, not just taking from it. I want to make it easy for anyone to live a bit more sustainably, even if you’re new to gardening or composting. Waste isn’t just trash - it’s a chance to help our planet breathe easy.
What I Offer
- Handcrafted composter made of terracotta, shaped like a mota lota (big pot), crafted by Kumhar Gram’s potters. It’s stackable, sturdy, and way more beautiful than a plastic bin.
- Home composting kit that actually works: air flows through, smells stay out. You even get a starter bag of coco-peat.
- Eco-friendly gardening tools packed in a reusable jute bag. Five tough iron tools that won’t snap mid-dig, designed to be comfy in your hands.
- Ready-to-use organic soil booster from flower waste collected at Birla Mandir and vermicompost made in local pits. No chemicals, just good stuff for your plants.
What’s Real
- Composting takes a little patience—sometimes the process can be slow if it’s too cold or if you forget to stir. Not everyone’s garden thrives instantly, but you’ll see changes with time.
- Supporting us means supporting real people: local artisans, farmers, and the earth itself.
Join the Movement
Your choice helps cut landfill waste, supports local crafts, and brings better soil to your home. It’s not just a purchase—it’s a small step that matters.

My Story
We’re JanBhoomi, born out of Enactus Kirori Mal College, 2018. Jan-Bhoomi means ‘the earth for its people’ - and we live by that. Our journey started with seeing land and water suffer, and led us to Kumhar Gram, Delhi. The potters there, masters of mitti (earth), told us, ‘1984 me ye colony bani hai. Yaha koi nahi tha, kheti hoti thi.’ Their struggles hit us hard. Now, we work with them, fighting waste and uplifting their craft for a greener tomorrow.
