Beginner Monthly Coaching
Class Structure
- Frequency: 2 to 3 sessions per week (Evening slots).
- Duration: 60 to 90 minutes per class depending on batch size.
- Batch Size: Small groups of 10-15 students.
- Mentorship: Led by assistant coaches or certified instructors under FIDE Arbiter guidance.
Curriculum
- Basics: Introduction to board setup, piece movements, and capture rules.
- Tactics: Instruction on basic checkmate patterns and defensive play.
- Homework: Worksheet handouts provided for home puzzle solving.
Facility & Gear
- Venue: Partner preschool classrooms (Non-AC, functional lighting and fans).
- Seating: Standard or child-sized furniture depending on the specific center.
- Equipment: Standard tournament-grade plastic chess sets and vinyl roll-up boards provided for use.
Advanced Tournament Training
Expert Training
- Oversight: Periodic review or direct supervision by Mr. Suresh Babu (FIDE Arbiter & National Instructor).
- Analysis: Post-game review of student matches to identify blunders and improvements.
- Strategy: Deep dives into opening repertoire, middle-game tactics, and end-game theory.
Competition Readiness
- Simulations: Practice matches played under strict time controls using digital chess clocks.
- Logistics: Assistance with AICF registration and FIDE ID creation processes.
- Calendar: Guidance on selecting appropriate local and district tournaments.
Batch Details
- Frequency: 2-3 intensive sessions per week or specialized weekend slots.
- Environment: High-focus competitive atmosphere with rated peers.
- Gear: Access to full-sized tournament sets and professional clocks.
Seasonal Chess Camps
Camp Format
- Schedule: Choice of Weekday (Mon-Fri for 3-4 weeks) or Weekend (4-5 weekends) batches.
- Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours per session (Morning or Evening).
- Volume: Total of 30 to 40 contact hours per camp.
- Group Size: Large group format (20+ students) focusing on peer interaction.
Deliverables
- Syllabus: Rapid coverage of Rules, Notation, Basic Openings, and Checkmates.
- Competition: Internal concluding tournament to apply learned skills.
- Recognition: Printed participation certificate issued upon completion.
Amenities
- Venue: Local preschools or community centers.
- Food: Students must carry their own water and snacks.
- Access: Drop-off and pick-up format (no parent waiting lounge).

What We’re About
At Panchajanya Chess Academy, I believe chess isn’t just a game - it’s a way to grow sharper, more confident, and ready for any kind of challenge. I started this place back in 2015, aiming to get everyone hooked on chess, no matter the age. Building a strong, competitive chess scene is what keeps me going.
My Background
You’ll get me - Suresh Babu - leading the training. I’m a FIDE Certified National Instructor, FIDE Arbiter, and Arena Candidate Master. Been at it for years, and our academy is affiliated with UKCA. I don’t just talk theory - I’ve been on the ground, guiding players through real matches.
How We Coach
- Regular chess classes for beginners and adults. We cover basics, tactics, and advanced strategies.
- Tournament preparation for kids who want to go pro. Many of my students compete in FIDE rated chess tournaments and local/state events.
- Chess summer camp Bangalore every year for ages 5-15. Batches on weekdays or weekends, certificates for all.

Hey, we’re Panchajanya Chess Academy. Started out in 2015, all official and registered, no shortcuts here. We’re big on proper chess training, not just teaching moves but building champions. You’ll spot us at tournaments, coaching, even running the show as FIDE arbiters. Our happiest moments? Seeing our students, like Shivani and Mahat, win trophies—nothing beats that. We want more kids playing, more FIDE-rated players from our academy, and a chess-loving community.
