Why Our Music Program Feels Different
At Nathaniel School of Music, I believe learning music isn't just about memorizing notes. It’s about getting what makes music tick - the theory, the rhythm, the feeling. If you want to really understand what you play or sing, not just follow instructions, this is where I come in. Fourteen years in, I’ve seen how my approach helps people grow into solid musicians, not just performers.
How the Program Works
- 6 months, 32 lessons (one hour each), so you stay on track
- 20 lessons focused just on your chosen instrument or vocals - Piano, Guitar, Drums, Bass, or Western Vocals
- 12 lessons build your musicianship: music theory for beginners, ear training and rhythm practice, even basics of Indian Ragas and Konnakol
- You get assignments and personal feedback every week
- Finish the module, and you earn a graded certificate based on how you’ve done
- If you’re already advanced, I can tweak the program for deeper stuff like production or advanced music composition program
What You’ll Actually Learn
- Core stuff: scales, chords, song structures, ear training, groove, and time signatures (even Afro-Cuban, straight vs swing)
- Instrument-specific: finger drills on piano, CAGED system on guitar, vocal control (paired with theory and ear training)
- For serious learners, I run “Music Gym” for technique and improvisation, and “Music Factory” for transcription from any genre - pop, classical, movie scores

Hey, we’re Nathaniel School of Music. Started out 17 years back, and now, look at us – 6,000+ students, some bringing their kids too! My mom Lillian’s here, coaching voices and sharing her wisdom. We’re not about making robots who just read notes. Our thing? Full-on musicianship. From Beatles to Nusrat, we get into the real stuff: theory, ear training, jamming, lots of ‘aha’ moments. Whether you’re at our Bangalore studio or online, it’s always a musical family vibe.
