We’re Mud and Mettle, and we do things differently. We aren’t just here for quick fixes or predictable gym routines. Our focus is on building lasting strength, both physical and mental, with a community vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere. When we say “mettlemade,” we mean it - this is all about daily effort, solid technique, and support that goes way beyond just reps.

How We Train - The Mud and Mettle Way

We keep it real and simple. Training is built around functional movements you actually need in life - lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling. If you want functional strength training for beginners or want to get back into shape after a break, we’ve got you. We drill technique first because safe, strong movement matters. Mobility is a big deal here, no shortcuts.

Each session is tailored. Even group workouts have personal tweaks to match your goals. We mix up weightlifting (think squats, deadlifts, cleans), calisthenics, and some tough conditioning - you’ll see everything from sleds to ropes, bikes to rowers.

Specialized Coaching - We’ve Got Your Back

Every body is different. We know how to help folks work through injuries - personal training for injury recovery is a big part of what we do. If you’ve got a shoulder that keeps popping out or an ankle that’s been busted, we help you rebuild, safely. Prenatal fitness coaching is here too - new and expecting moms get programs that fit their needs, no pressure, just steady progress.

Beginner Friendly & Community Driven

Never trained before? Doesn’t matter. We start you with the basics and make sure you feel supported. Here, you’re not just another member. You’re family. We push each other, celebrate every win, and hold each other up when it’s tough. That’s what keeps people coming back.

My Story

People always ask—what’s Mud and Mettle? It’s fighting through the messy bits, showing grit. We started this place because we wanted more than just another gym, you know? Some folks walk in after injuries, some just tired of sitting around. Watching them nail their first pull-up or climb that wall, that’s why we’re here. Mud and Mettle is our second home, our fit fam, not just a gym. It’s straight up an emotion.

My Work

Performance Training & Bouldering - Strength, conditioning, powerlifting, CrossFit style group workouts, plus MoonBoard climbing and bouldering for all levels.

Technique First - We drill basics hard. Better technique means more power and speed. No random routines here.

All Are Welcome - Beginner, athlete, new mom, injury recovery, whatever—workouts get scaled for you.

Supportive Fitness Community - We’re a fit fam. We train, trek, compete, and push each other. Teammates make all the difference.
