My Story
Namaste, I’m Avijit Das. Dance is like breathing to me – can’t imagine life without it. My Gurus, my Mastergaru, shaped my journey and now I get to pass that on at Kimaham. Teaching feels like magic, especially seeing students nail their Rangapravesham after years of sweat. Awards like Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Pratibha Samman? Humbled, grateful, but it’s the art and the audience that matter most. Bengaluru, Europe, anywhere – connection is everything.
My Work
Kuchipudi Performances & Training - I offer solo, group shows, and Rangapravesham training at Kimaham. All ages welcome.
Traditional & New Choreography - From classic Mastergaru pieces to my own productions, I perform across India and abroad.
Live Ensemble Experience - Most shows feature live music - mridangam, flute, nattuvangam - the energy is unbeatable.
Guru-Shishya Parampara - I guide students in classic and new pieces, focusing on their growth and connection with the art.
Jugalbandi & Collaborations - Love mixing Kuchipudi with Bharatanatyam, Sattriya, and joining art panel discussions too.
