This is the first set of visuals a user sees. It is curated to showcase the breadth of my practice, establish credibility, and highlight the therapeutic, adaptive nature of Iyengar yoga.
Our Lineage: The Guru Parampara
My teaching is a direct transmission from my gurus, B.K.S. Iyengar, and his family. I am a conduit for this profound lineage (parampara), sharing the knowledge with the same reverence and precision I received it. This tradition is the foundation of every class I teach.
The Iyengar Method: Precision with Props
My sessions are rooted in the Iyengar tradition, which uses props like chairs, blocks, belts, and ropes. These tools are not crutches; they are instruments of precision that help you achieve correct alignment, access poses safely regardless of your flexibility, and experience the full therapeutic depth of each asana.
Therapeutic Yoga for Pain & Injury Management
I specialize in creating targeted sequences for chronic conditions like back pain, neck stiffness, sciatica, and recovery from old injuries. Using specific props and adjustments, we work to create space, release tension, and build strength around affected areas, promoting long-term relief and healing.
Restorative Practice for Stress, Anxiety & Fatigue
If you are dealing with stress, anxiety, or fatigue, my restorative sessions can help calm the nervous system. We use extensive prop support in poses like Viparita Karani (legs up the wall) and supported Savasana to encourage deep relaxation, regulate breathing, and help the body shift into a state of rest and recovery.
Inversions: Headstands & Shoulder Stands
Inversions like Sirsasana (Headstand) and Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand) are pillars of the practice, known for their benefits to the circulatory, nervous, and endocrine systems. I provide step-by-step guidance and use props like ropes, chairs, and blocks to ensure you can learn and practice these powerful asanas safely and effectively.
Deepening Your Practice: Asana Explorations
This section showcases the dynamic interplay between different categories of asanas, from standing poses and twists to backbends and forward bends. I guide students through progressive stages, using props to build strength, flexibility, and confidence for a deeper practice.
At-Home Practice & Online Sessions
I offer clear, illustrated sequences that you can practice at home using everyday items as props. I also conduct live online classes, providing direct feedback and personalized instruction, ensuring you can continue your practice consistently, wherever you are.
