A glimpse into my journey as a performer and choreographer, where every movement is an offering. From traditional Margams to thematic productions, I share the moments that define my dedication to this sacred art.

Getting back on stage after a long gap is always exciting, with a few butterflies too! This was for a performance with Natyarangam, a wonderful opportunity to connect with the art again.

A moment of complete surrender and joy during my performance at Krishna Gana Sabha. Portraying Sant Namdeo in "Bhakt Jana Vatsale" was a transcendental experience.

The culmination of a performance, a moment of pure bliss and gratitude. The energy from the audience and the connection with the divine is what every artist lives for.

The evergreen Alarippu. This invocatory piece is the first item in a Margam, a beautiful way to offer respects and prepare the body for the dance to come.

A personal invitation to my performance in Mumbai. I was very excited to return to the city after 25 years and share the stage with my daughter-in-law, Dr. Ramya Suresh.

A snippet from my performance of an Anandabhairavi Varnam during the Marghazhi season. The energy of a live performance with a full orchestra is unparalleled.

A kind word from a rasika about a Hasya rasa (humor) piece I performed decades ago. It is humbling to know that some moments on stage can leave such a lasting impression.

About this collection

True Bharatanatyam thrives on the synergy between the dancer and live musicians. When you watch these performances, you will notice the precise interplay with Carnatic vocals and the orchestra; this connection is exactly what I bring to every stage I step on. If you are looking for an authentic performance or professional choreography for your event, this focus on live musical foundation is the cornerstone of my work.

Dance is more than a visual spectacle, it is a conversation between the dancer, the musicians, and the rasika. My performance career has been defined by a strict commitment to the Margam—the traditional sequence that builds from the rhythmic precision of Alarippu to the emotional depth of a Varnam. Whether I am performing at the Krishna Gana Sabha in Chennai or an experimental theater in Mumbai, my priority is Abhinaya, the art of expression. I ensure that every gesture, every look, and every movement tells a story rooted in our Puranic texts and cultural heritage.

Performing is not just about the solo stage presence. Often, my family ensemble joins me, with my husband providing the vocal support and my family helping with Nattuvangam and rhythm. This creates a cohesive, energetic performance that feels complete. If you are hiring me for an event, you are not just getting a dancer; you are getting a team that understands stagecraft, lighting aesthetics, and the nuances of musical analysis. We handle the technical details so that the audience remains captivated by the art itself, not the logistics.
