About Your Perfect Wedding Soundtrack
For my wedding performances, I often get off-stage to interact directly with the couple and guests, so I always ensure a wireless audio setup is ready. It makes a huge difference in getting people singing along and feeling the music, rather than just listening to a band on a stage.
Every wedding has a different energy, and I love adapting to it. My approach is to build a narrative through song, starting with melodic, soulful tracks for rituals like the haldi and mehendi, and shifting gears into high-tempo Bollywood and Punjabi dance numbers as the party picks up for the sangeet or reception.
How we set the stage
I work with a few different configurations depending on the scale and style of your event:
- Full Wedding Band: This is for the big celebrations. You get a rhythm section with a drummer and bassist, a keyboardist for those rich backing tracks, and a live Dhol player. This setup captures that iconic Delhi wedding vibe where the beat never stops.
- Acoustic Duo or Trio: Perfect for intimate gatherings, smaller garden parties, or daytime events. We strip back the sound to just vocals, acoustic guitar, and a cajon or keyboard. It allows for a more personal connection with your guests.
Why it works
The most common feedback I get is that the band doesn't just play at the guests, we play with them. Because I perform in a western, stylish aesthetic, the look matches the modern wedding vibe, while the music stays true to the traditional favorites everyone wants to hear. We handle the logistics, bringing in a dedicated sound engineer to manage the mix so you do not have to worry about audio quality on the day.
