My full-band concert setup is designed to be interactive, but it requires technical preparation. I insist on a 45-minute sound check two hours before the event starts. This is the only way to ensure the mix is perfect, the dhol and bass are hitting right, and the vocals are clear. When we get this prep right, the energy on stage is seamless, and there are no audio issues during your event.
When you hire me for a concert or a corporate gala, you are not just booking a singer. You are bringing a full live band into your space. My team typically consists of five professionals, including a dedicated sound engineer who manages the console mix throughout the night. This is key because a large-venue performance requires more than just volume. It needs a balanced soundscape where the dhol, drums, and vocals all sit perfectly in the mix.
Whether it is an awards night in a Delhi hotel ballroom or a public concert in a city like Indore or Chandigarh, I stick to a clear, high-energy flow.
- The Setlist: I curate a flow that starts mid-tempo during dinner or arrival, then ramps up the BPM as the night progresses. I mix old-school Bollywood classics that everyone knows with current chartbusters and high-tempo Punjabi tracks.
- Interaction: I do not believe in standing behind a mic stand. I actively engage the audience, sing into the crowd, and if the venue allows, I come off the stage to interact directly with guests.
- Requirements: To deliver this quality, I work with a tech rider that ensures the PA system and lighting are stage-ready. If you have specific corporate themes, such as retro or patriotic sets, let me know in advance so I can tweak my repertoire to match your agenda.
My goal is to capture the audience's attention from the first beat. Having opened for artists like Mika Singh, I have learned that the key to a successful large-scale show is reading the energy of the room and adjusting the performance in real-time. Whether it is a corporate gig that needs to remain professional or a massive public concert where the crowd is there to dance, I adapt my style to suit the atmosphere.
