About Family Robotics Sessions
Why I Started These Sessions
I wanted families to have a space where learning tech isn’t just for kids or just for adults. Here, everyone gets involved. It’s not about staring at screens, it’s about actually building something together and having those “Aha!” moments as a team.
What Happens in a Session
- You and your child become a team. No one’s just watching.
- We use simple kits, so you don’t need any tech background.
- I guide you both, step by step, through building your first robot.
- Once it’s built, you get to play, test, and even mess up a little (that’s half the fun).
- I keep things light and easy, so even if your kid is just 5 or 6, they’ll get it.
Who Will Enjoy This
If your child is under 8 and you want to do something real together, this is for you. Both parents can join in, or just one - doesn’t matter. It’s a good fit if you want to try hands-on STEM activities for families, not just watch from the sidelines.
What You’ll Take Home
- A basic understanding of robotics (no jargon, promise)
- Some teamwork skills you didn’t know you had
- A robot you built together (sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it’s a bit wonky - that’s okay!)
- Memories that last longer than any screen time
About Me
I’m an ISRO Registered Space Tutor and I love making tech simple for everyone. I run these sessions across Navi Mumbai - Vashi, Nerul, Seawoods, Kharghar, Panvel. If you want a parent-child robotics workshop that’s actually fun, come try it out.

My Story
Hi, I’m Krishna Rao, partner at i-Robochakra Navi Mumbai. We kicked this off seeing kids glued to screens, so we thought - why not make that time count? We’re ISRO Space Tutors, so the workshops get pretty wild, especially when retired ISRO folks drop in. Once, even a 78-year-old joined in! That spark, whether it’s a kid building a Dahi Handi Bot or a student decoding satellite images, is what keeps us going. We’re here for the ‘aha!’ moments.
My Work
Workshops and Classes in Robotics, AI, Coding, Space Tech - We run hands-on sessions for all ages, from kids to college students, covering robotics, coding, electronics, and more.
Hands-On Learning - Students build, code, experiment. Kits provided. Screen-free STEM learning, not just theory.
ISRO Space Tutor Programs - We host exclusive workshops with real ISRO experts. Learn satellite tracking, space tech from those who lived it.
Family Robotics Sessions - Special sessions for kids under 8 and their parents. Learn, build, and play together.
Collaborations & Events - We team up with schools and colleges around Mumbai for workshops and science events that spark curiosity.
