A truly special sighting of a tigress with her cub. Capturing these moments requires patience and an understanding of the jungle. My guided wildlife photography tours are perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to photograph such unique animal interactions.
Experience the adrenaline of a tiger on the move. This video shows a sequence from a safari where a dominant male patrolled his territory right alongside our jeep. It's a perfect example of the immersive wildlife experience I aim to provide on every trip.
Follow along as we track a tiger through the forest trails. This video gives you the point of view from our safari jeep, showing how we anticipate the animal's path to position ourselves for the best possible views and photographs.
About Up Close with Big Cats
Seeing a tiger in the wild is mostly about patience and strategy. On my trips, we don’t just wander; we use local expertise to track movement and position our 4x4 Gypsys perfectly for light and visibility. If you are bringing a camera, I will be right there in the jeep helping you with your ISO and focus settings, so you do not miss the moment when the big cat steps out.
Our Safari Approach
Wildlife photography is about being in the right place at the right time. We head to prime locations like Tadoba, Pench, and Kabini. My goal is to get you more than just a sighting; I want you to walk away with a great portfolio.
Why Book With Us
- Small Groups: We strictly limit to 4 guests per vehicle. No fighting for space or missing a shot because someone is blocking your view.
- Photography Mentorship: I share my workflow, from how to set your camera in the field to how to edit your images once you get home.
- Bangalore to Bangalore: You handle your backpack; we handle the rest. This includes flight tickets for Central India trips, AC transport for Karnataka, stays, and all forest permits.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes these safaris different? Most operators just drive. We work with local guides to track movement, and because I’m a photographer, I know exactly where to position the vehicle for the best angle and lighting.
Do I need professional gear? Not at all. Whether you are using a DSLR or a smartphone, the principles of patience and observation are the same. I teach you how to make the best of whatever gear you have.
What is the stay like? We book mid-premium resorts and Jungle Lodges, chosen specifically for their proximity to the safari gates. This ensures we are ready to hit the road at dawn, which is when the cats are most active.
