About Statement Cape Ensembles
My cape sets are engineered for movement. I use lightweight fabrics like organza and viscose satin, ensuring the dramatic silhouette remains comfortable and fluid whether you are walking down the aisle or attending a cocktail evening.
Designing these capes requires a balance between architectural structure and effortless flow. I anchor each look with internal boning in the bustiers, providing support and shape, which allows the outer layer, often a sheer, printed organza or heavy satin cape, to float with grace.
For cocktail events, I lean towards monochromatic sets like my Zoey ensemble, where sheer drama meets minimalist trousers. If the event demands vibrancy, I turn to the Adoree set. The oversized cape in this piece features distinctive multi-color prints, paired with a hand-adorned bustier that catches the light through sequins and cut-dana work.
Versatility is at the heart of these designs. Many of my clients choose these sets for sangeet functions or high-profile receptions precisely because they do not require the maintenance of a heavy saree.
