Experience Kathak as a vichardhara—a complete thought process—rather than a set of steps. Under the lineage of the Kalka-Bindadin gharana, we prioritize shuddhta (purity), intensive taalim, and the sacred Guru-Shishya bond to transform learners into true vessels of the art.

This is the culmination of our 'taalim'. A student, under our guidance, taking on the challenge of a solo Kathak performance with live music on stage, embodying the grace and power of the Lucknow Gharana.

A glimpse of Guru Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj ji performing at the Naman Festival, hosted by the U.P. Sangeet Natak Akademi. His performance is a living demonstration of the rich 'vasihat' (legacy) of our Gharana.

Watch Guru Maa Smt. Ruby Mishra demonstrate 'Thaat', the foundational stance in Kathak. Her graceful movements show the subtle control and poise that we instill in our disciples from the very beginning.

Our students performing a group choreography at the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi in Lucknow. We believe performance is an integral part of learning, providing disciples the experience of the 'manch' (stage).

The 'Ganda Bandhan' is not merely a ritual; it is a sacred alignment where a disciple becomes a true vessel for the art. It is a promise to carry the tradition forward with purity and responsibility.

An unfiltered moment from our 'riyaaz' (practice) session. Here, Guru Maa Smt. Ruby Mishra guides a student through a complex 'ladi', demonstrating the rigor and personal attention that defines our Guru-Shishya mentorship.

We celebrate Guru Purnima not just as a festival, but as a reaffirmation of the sacred bond between Guru and Shishya. These are cherished moments where wisdom flows across generations, strengthening our 'parampara'.

We cordially invite you to 'Tarkash II', a showcase of solo Kathak performances. This program is our endeavor to revive the tradition of 'ekal nritya' (solo dance) and prepare the next generation of performers.

About Featured

We do not use recorded audio for our rhythm training. In every session, students dance to the live bols (rhythmic syllables) and lehra of a professional Tabla player. This teaches you to interact with live music, developing the ability to respond to unpredictable shifts in rhythm—an essential skill for any performer that cannot be learned from a recording.
