Hand-Painted Treasures and Custom Art
Sometimes a surface is too delicate to engrave or just needs a splash of color. I hand-paint intricate florals, monograms, and illustrations on everything from perfume bottles to leather, turning your personal objects into something honest and meaningful.
Let's make this champagne bottle pop. This video shows the transformation of a standard Chandon bottle into a fully painted piece of art, complete with a custom wedding monogram and date.
I live for projects like these. Here, I'm hand-painting a custom font onto pure woollen shawls for a special celebration in the mountains. A true labor of love, detail, and dreamy deadlines.
I'm obsessed with lemons right now. This video shows the process of hand-painting delicate lemon branches on Dior Sauvage bottles, adding a fresh, artistic touch.
This is what painting 120 Sol de Janeiro bum bum creams looks like. We pre-painted these in the studio with their signature floral design for an influencer event. So satisfying to see them all together.
A 'His & Her' perfume set, personalized for a wedding. The bottles are painted with the couple's floral wedding logo and date, creating a beautiful and cohesive gift.
Taking inspiration from a reference photo to create a unique piece of art. This Dior J'adore bottle is hand-painted with pink florals, a beautiful interpretation rather than a direct copy.
While I don't engrave champagne bottles due to the pressure, I love to paint them. This Moët & Chandon bottle is covered in a beautiful light blue with delicate white cosmos flowers.
Sometimes, a simple name in elegant calligraphy is all you need. Here are two Moët bottles personalized with names, a classic and popular choice for celebrations.
A fun project hand-lettering 25+ beer growlers with witty quotes for a party's decor. My friend always comes up with brilliant ideas that push me creatively.
"Beer always is a good idea." A beer growler hand-lettered with white paint, part of a larger set for party decor. This showcases a more playful, casual style of lettering.
About Hand-Painted Treasures
I don't use stencils; every brushstroke is done by hand. If you have a specific bottle—a perfume you love or a champagne for a celebration—I can paint floral motifs or monograms directly onto the glass. I use specialized acrylic enamels that need curing, so reach out a few weeks in advance to discuss the design and your timeline.
Why choose paint over engraving? While engraving adds a subtle, permanent texture, hand-painting allows for vibrant color palettes and detailed illustrations that stand out against the surface. I have painted everything from Sol de Janeiro creams for brand events to Dior perfume bottles for weddings. My approach is to take a piece of your story—a color from your wedding invitation or a flower that holds meaning—and translate that into art on a functional object.
The Process
When you commission a piece, we start with a conversation about your vision. I take the time to map out the design, whether it is a set of growlers for a house party or a custom-painted shawl. I use high-quality acrylic enamels that bond with the glass or fabric, ensuring the art lasts.
Practical Details
I work out of my Chembur studio in Mumbai. If you are local, drop-off is straightforward. If you are elsewhere in India, we can manage the logistics of shipping your items to me. Whether it is leather goods, wool shawls, or glass, I treat every item with the same level of attention. This is not just about the final product; it is about making an everyday object feel like it belongs to your life.
Common Questions
- Can I send any bottle? Yes, perfume, champagne, and whiskey bottles are common, provided they are empty or the label allows for surface space. I do not provide the alcohol or branded products themselves.
- How long does it take? Curing times vary based on the medium, so please share your deadline upfront.
- Can you match my wedding theme? Absolutely. I often pull color palettes and floral motifs from invites to create a cohesive look.
Rachna Takawale
I ditched my 9-5 eight years ago to see if art could be more than a hobby. It is messy, it is tiring, and I would not trade it for anything. My studio in Chembur is where I sit, paint, and turn your memories into something you can hold.
