What Drives My Practice
Seventeen years in criminal law have taught me that nothing works without discipline and prep. I’m Ashok K. Singh, Advocate at the Supreme Court, and my work revolves around defending clients in tough criminal cases. The grind is real - the stakes are high, and the system isn't always simple.
Types of Cases I Handle
Most of my work is with high-stakes allegations. I deal with:
- White-collar offenses like money laundering defense strategies, especially those tied to ED and SFIO investigations.
- Serious organized crime cases - often under laws like MACOCA, with CBI involved.
- Matters related to narcotics (NDPS Act legal representation) and national security cases under UAPA.
How I Work
My style isn’t flashy. I focus on strategy, not drama.
- Bail application process in criminal cases is a major part of what I do - fighting for liberty, even in complicated CBI or NDPS matters.
- If the facts and law support it, I push for quashing criminal proceedings in High Court to get cases dismissed early.
- While Delhi is home base, I appear in courts across India, including the Supreme Court.

Seventeen years in law, but nothing beats a quiet picnic in the hills with my family. Delhi gets too much sometimes, so we escape to Nainital or Mussoorie for a break. My son Agastya paints, my daughter keeps us on our toes, and my wife—15 years together—keeps everything real. Ganga aarti in Rishikesh, jungle safaris, simple joys. I work hard, but home is where I find my balance. Love and law, both need protecting.
