Intimate Home Pooja Setup
Seating & Furniture
- Floor Arrangement: 12 to 15 mattresses (Gaddas) with crisp white cotton covers arranged in a U-shape.
- Chair Seating: 15 to 20 standard banquet chairs with covers and decorative ribbon bows for elderly guests.
- Flooring: Red or green synthetic carpeting to cover walking passages.
Pooja Configuration
- Hawan Essentials: Provision of Hawan Kund (metal or brick), sand base, and wood handling tools.
- Deity Placement: Low height wooden Bajot or Chowki covered in yellow or red cloth.
- Background: Minimalist 8x8 ft fabric backdrop (Pipe & Drape) to cover household walls.
Floral & Decor
- Entrance: Fresh Marigold (Genda Phool) strings for the main door and up to one flight of stairs.
- Rangoli: One floral rangoli design near the Hawan kund using loose flower petals.
Support Infrastructure
- Lighting & Air: Basic ambient lighting and 2 pedestal fans (or standing heaters in winter).
- Catering Infra: 2 Buffet tables with frilled skirting for self managed snacks.

The Darbaar (Stage Setup)
- Structure: 10ft x 8ft raised platform with carpet finish for the troupe and idols.
- Styling: Heavy fabric draping in Red, Gold, or Magenta with artificial floral borders and religious motifs.
- Throne: Decorative Singhasan or Jhula for the main idol installation.
Audio & Visuals
- Sound System: Professional PA setup tuned for devotional singing, including 2 main speakers, stage monitor, mixer, and mics.
- Lighting: LED PAR cans for colored stage wash and halogen floodlights for general brightness.
Guest Comfort
- Floor Seating: Mattresses with white sheets for approximately 50 guests.
- Chair Seating: 30 to 40 banquet chairs with covers for guests who cannot sit on the floor.
- Area Cover: Full coverage with standard red exhibition carpet.
Dining Hardware
- Setup: Complete buffet furniture with frills and bone china or melamine crockery for up to 100 guests (Food not included).

- Stage: Heavy duty performance stage (approx 16ft x 12ft) suitable for dances or speeches.
- Backdrop: Themed flex print on wooden frames (e.g., Independence Day graphics or Festival motifs).
Power & Lighting
- Generator: Includes 62.5 KVA Silent Diesel Generator (DG Set) with fuel for 4 hours to run the entire load.
- Ambiance: Extensive fairy lights interwoven in the canopy ceiling and halogen lights for ground illumination.
Crowd Seating
- General: 200 to 250 plastic chairs with clean white fabric slipcovers and sashes.
- VIP Section: 2 to 3 sets of sofas (3 seater + 2 seater) for committee members or chief guests.
Heavy Audio
- Outdoor PA: Powerful sound setup with Bass Bins (Subwoofers) and Tops for clear audio across open grounds.
- Microphones: Cordless mics for anchoring and stand mics for performances.
About Religious & Cultural Events
We’ve been setting up religious and cultural events in Gurugram since 2014. I know how important these occasions are for families and communities, so I keep things straightforward - you focus on the rituals, I handle the rest.
What I Do
- I manage everything from small family poojas to big society festivals. Whether it’s a Mata ki Chowki or a Ganesh Chaturthi pandal setup, I take care of the tent, furniture, decor, and food.
- For Mata ki Chowki, I set up a proper darbaar with red-pink backdrops, floor seating (white sheets), and buffet counters for prasad.
- For Janamashtmi, I use morpankh and matki props, multi-colored drapes, and a decorated pooja table. Ganesh Chaturthi gets a neat pandal with floral touches and sometimes Sanskrit shloka backdrops.
- Hawan ceremonies get marigold garlands at the entrance, round tables, and a full buffet after the rituals.
- Navratri society event management means big outdoor canopies, fairy lights, and a stage for performances. Independence Day gets tricolor decor everywhere.
