This is the first impression for potential students and parents. It’s designed to showcase success, energy, discipline, and the comprehensive nature of my training at Tiger Taekwondo Academy.
Competition Sparring (Kyorugi)
I prepare students for real competition by focusing on Kyorugi (sparring) techniques. We practice with full protective gear in controlled sessions to build confidence, learn scoring, and understand match rules.
Our Champions: Medals & Achievements
Hard work pays off, and I am incredibly proud of my students' success at local, state, and national level competitions. Here are some of our champions from events like the Khelo India League and school zonal matches.
Mastering the Art: Poomsae & Technical Drills
Taekwondo starts with strong basics. We focus on mastering Poomsae (forms), which are sequences of fundamental movements, stances, blocks, and strikes that build discipline and precision.
Fitness, Strength & Flexibility
To perform powerful kicks and stay agile, we dedicate time to serious fitness training. Our drills include agility ladders, strength exercises like push-ups, and deep stretching for flexibility.
Earning Your Stripes: Belt Grading Tests
Moving up the belt ladder is a significant achievement that requires demonstrating mastery of forms, techniques, and even board breaking (Kyokpa). Here are my students during their official belt grading tests.
Beyond Kicks: Knowledge & Discipline
I believe in teaching the 'Do' (the way) of Taekwondo, not just the 'Tae' (foot) and 'Kwon' (fist). Students learn the rules, Korean terminology, and the philosophy behind the art.
My Credentials & Coaching Journey
As a coach, I am always learning. I regularly participate in national seminars and training courses to stay updated on the latest techniques, rules, and coaching methods.
