Foundation Modules
- Paste Mastery: Science of mixing mehndi (powder to liquid ratios) and essential oil blending for dark stains.
- Cone Crafting: Rolling needle-point cones using cellophane sheets and taping techniques for fine lines.
- Line Work: Repetitive drills on straight lines, humps, checks (jaali), and vines to build hand stability.
Design Styles
- Modern Patterns: Learning flow patterns, negative space designs, and jewelry-style mehndi (Arabic and Indo-Western).
- Traditional Motifs: Peacock motifs, paisleys (keri), and filler elements.
- Bridal Layout: Understanding the grid of a hand, central motif placement, forearm filling, and finger detailing.
Assessment
- Advanced Intro: Basic training on drawing faces and bride/groom figures.
- Final Exam: Creation of a full bridal hand on a live model or acrylic hand for certification.
11-Day Figure & Portrait Specialization
Duration & Format
- Timeline: 11 days of intensive training (Monday to Friday batches).
- Hours: 3 hours per day (typically afternoon slots).
- Setup: Traditional floor seating with individual lap tables (chotls) and focused lighting.

- Facial Anatomy: Detailed instruction on Side Face, Front Face, and 3/4th Face perspectives.
- Body Posture: Full figures for Bride and Groom, including proportion and stance.
- Themes: Couple figures (Jaimala/Pheras), religious themes (Radha Krishna), and signature animal motifs.
Certification
- Correction: Daily in-class correction of angles and sketching techniques.
- Exam: Mandatory practical test at the end of the course.

Yes, sometimes it gets tiring, but honestly, this is the kind of thakaan (exhaustion) I always wanted. My biggest joy? Seeing students get confident enough to create their own designs, even with their eyes closed.

I keep batches small so I can give everyone proper attention. I teach like how a maa (mother) would - with patience and lots of encouragement. Practice is a big part, and we always celebrate your progress, not just the final result.
