Vinyasa Krama: Movement as Meditation

My teaching is deeply rooted in Vinyasa Krama, a tradition passed down from my teacher, Srivatsa Ramaswami. This method involves synchronizing breath with movement in logical, intelligent sequences. The practice becomes a moving meditation that builds strength, flexibility, and mental focus.

Yin Yoga: Deep Release & Stillness

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice that complements our more dynamic (Yang) flows. We hold passive poses for several minutes to target the deep connective tissues, fascia, and joints. This practice is excellent for increasing flexibility, calming the nervous system, and releasing stored emotional tension.

Meditative Practices for Mental Clarity

Yoga is the journey to quiet the fluctuations of the mind. I teach a variety of meditative techniques that go beyond simple sitting, including Trataka (steady gazing), mantra chanting, sound healing, and ancient fire ceremonies (Havan). These practices help to focus the mind, purify the senses, and connect you to a deeper state of inner peace.

My journey has been shaped by incredible teachers, especially my guru Srivatsa Ramaswami, a direct student of the legendary T. Krishnamacharya. This lineage informs my teaching, which is rooted in classical texts but adapted for our modern lives. I believe yoga is a process of replacing old patterns with new ones, a path of self-discovery that leads to a life of balance, clarity, and joy.
