About The Art of the Winged Liner
A perfect wing is not just about a steady hand, it is about understanding your unique eye shape. I teach how to map the line so it lifts your face rather than dragging it down, using techniques that ensure it stays sharp from morning till the last dance.
Everyone struggles with eyeliner, but it is actually simple once you learn how to map your eye. I start by assessing your lid space and brow position, which changes where the wing should flick. Whether you are using a gel pot or a liquid pen, the key is keeping your skin taut while you work. I teach students in my Gurugram studio and during 5-star masterclasses to stop pulling the skin to the side, which ruins the shape as soon as you let go. Instead, look down into a mirror to keep the skin flat. My signature look often features a crisp, tapered tail that complements a soft, glowy base rather than overpowering it. If you have hooded eyes, we will adjust the thickness so the liner remains visible when your eyes are open. You do not need to be a professional to master this, you just need a little practice and the right brush.
