Flawless Base Makeup: Techniques for Every Skin Type

The biggest secret to my base work isn't about using more product, it is knowing where to hold back. If you have active acne or texture, I prioritize strategic color correction and lighter, buildable layers over heavy foundation. It keeps the makeup looking fresh for hours without settling into fine lines or feeling cakey by the end of your event.

Creating a flawless base isn't about covering up who you are; it's about evening out the canvas so your features can pop. Many of my clients come to me worried about texture, pigmentation, or dry patches, but those are just variations of skin, not problems to be fixed with a mask of foundation.

My Approach to Base Work:

• Understanding Texture: I treat textured skin by focusing on skin prep and hydration rather than thick layers. We work on the canvas first. If you have seen my videos, you know I am obsessed with the real skin look. It needs to breathe.
• Melanin-Rich Skin: I am passionate about dusky and deep skin tones. Too often, artists try to lighten the skin, which just makes it look grey. My goal is always to enhance the natural warmth and radiance, ensuring the complexion looks bright and rich, not washed out.
• Longevity: Whether you are in Gurugram or Delhi NCR, the weather can be a challenge. My base techniques are designed to be sweat-proof and durable, whether you are attending a summer wedding at The Roseate or an evening cocktail party.
